That Dental Podcast: Off the Cusp with David Bretton and Guy Deeming

What happens when you give a dentist and an orthodontist, who have just met, a microphone, and the idea of recording a podcast?

Wonder no more as That Dental Podcast: Off the Cusp is here. Now you can listen to dentistry’s newest virtual partnership chat dentistry, orthodontics, life, and most things in between.

Guy Deeming

BDS (Hons), MFDS RCS Eng, MSc (Ortho), MOrth RCS Edin

Guy Deeming is a time-served Specialist Orthodontist who runs a small group of five orthodontic clinics in random towns across the North East. As well as running his practices he has spent a number of years as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Dental Hospital in Newcastle. He is also sought after speaker and teacher for  other specialist orthodontists and dentists about all things Invisalign, artificial intelligence (modern…) practice development and orthodontic matters. In the recent past he has been on the board of the British Orthodontic Society as the Director of Clinical Practice representing orthodontics and negotiating with the NHS (less fun, very interesting). He has never won the Best Young anything. He has two remarkably well balanced children and an extraordinarily awesome partner who tolerate him most of the time. When not working he spends most of his time terrified someone will find out just how many records he really buys on the internet.

David Bretton

BDS MFDS RCS (Ed) PgDip (Endo) PgDip (ClearAlignerTherapy)

David Bretton is a general dentist who works as an associate in private practice in the North East. His clinical work is focused on restorative and aesthetic dentistry, particularly with a focus on a minimally invasive ortho-restorative approach. In the past he has been named as ‘Best Young Dentist’ at both the Dentistry and Private Dentistry awards. Besides his full-time position in private practice he is also involved in teaching Invisalign to other general dentists. More recently David has embraced a new role, becoming a dad, with his first-born arriving in January 2020.
